Best of Kuusamo

Welcome to Kuusamo, the capital of Finnish Nature! It is famous for its diverse nature; in Kuusamo we have fells, river valleys, old forest, rocks, swamps and thriving wildlife.

August is the time of atmospheric misty mornings and lovely sunrises and sunsets. In this six (6) nights trip we will get to know all the best landscapes and hidden gems of Kuusamo. We will be visiting several national parks and do day and evening trips to beautiful sceneries. We will also spend one night in a bear hide where we can observe the wildlife from close distance. After hiking and exploring we can relax and enjoy a three course meal and sauna in our accommodation.

Information of the tour

Time: In August. Ask for the days you prefer.

Duration: 6 nights

Target group: anyone who is interested in nature, nature photography and day trips in beautiful locations. In our excursions we will walk approx 5-8 km mostly on trails so participants should have reasonable general fitness.

Group size: maximum 6 persons

Accommodation: Will be confirmed later.

Equipment: Everyone should have their own photography equipment for nature photography (SLR camera or mobile phone), tripod is recommended. Also outdoor suitable clothing, backpack and hiking boots would be good. Rubber boots can be loaned from the organizer if needed.

Meals: 3 meals day (including breakfast, lunch/picnic lunch and dinner)

Guide: Our professional guides Anna Välimäki or Jarmo Manninen will be guiding you on this tour.

Price: 1900 euros per person

Good to know

Payments:

Registration is binding after payment of the booking fee of 100 euros. Final payment will be sent by email and it has to be paid 30 days before the starting date.

Insurance:

Participants are responsible for their own insurance. Leisure accident insurance, etc. and insurance of photography equipment are also recommended.

Cancellation policy:

If the cancellation is made later than 45 days, but no later than 30 days before the start of the tour, we will withhold the booking fee (€ 100). If the cancellation is made later than 30 days but no later than 14 days before the start of the tour, we will withhold 50% of the tour fee. If the cancellation is made later than 14 days before the start of the tour, we will withhold the full tour fee.

The organizer has the right to cancel the tour one month before the start of the tour. If the tour is canceled by the organizer, all payments will be refunded.
