Winter landscapes of Iivaara –photography excursion

Breathe in the clean northern winter air and enjoy the silence on the slopes of Iivaara on a snowshoeing trip, where the focus is on capturing beautiful winter landscapes under the guidance of an experienced nature photography guide!

The nature of early and deep winter in Kuusamo offers surprising experiences and interesting opportunities to capture it in spectacular nature photos. The delightful landscapes of the lesser-known Iivaara offer the opportunity to spend a nice winter day in the midst of silence. You won’t run into crowds here! The slopes of Iivaara are covered in a beautiful snow cover from November, and grow into a spectacular cannon landscape during the winter.

On the trip, we snowshoe a few kilometers to the top of Iivaara at an altitude of 470 meters, where we have the opportunity to photograph the wonderful scenery with our own mobile phone or camera. The guide will be a nature photography professional who will tell you about the nature of the area and personally help you find compositions, angles and the right adjustments according to your wishes.

Date: November–March. Ask about the possibility for another time as well!

Target group: Iivaara is best suited for hikers looking for peace and quiet. We walk several kilometers in fairly demanding conditions, so the trip requires good physical condition.

Group size: 3-7. If you wish, you can also book a private tour for your own group.

Transportation: The trip includes transportation by car or minibus.

Duration: 8 hours. The excursion starts at different times, depending on the sunrise and sunset times, so we will inform you of the departure and return time of the excursion when booking.

Price: 190 euros, including transport from Ruka or Kuusamo, guide services and tips from a nature photography professional for taking better nature photos, liability insurance.

We start the excursion when there are at least three adults registered. If there are not enough registrations by 4 pm on the day before, we will cancel the tour and refund the money
