Winter landscapes of Kuntivaara –photo excursion

The winter nature of Kuusamo hides the most beautiful landscapes. The snow-rimed trees “tykky” landscapes of Kuntivaara, located near the Russian border, are breathtakingly beautiful, which we will focus on on a landscape photography excursion. The pine forest covered by snow creates the most interesting fairy tale characters, the limitation of which is limited only by the imagination.

As well, we have a delicious picnic lunch and coffee, tea or hot chocolate top of the Kuntivaara fjell in the heated cottage.

Our group is small from 3 to 7 person, so guide has a good possibility assist everyone in the group during the excursion. The excursion, including transportation with a normal car or minibus, transportation with snow mobile and sled up to the hill, takes about 8 hours and maximum few hundreds meters walk. The route is quite easy and suitable for people with normal condition.

Excursions starts different hours, depends light conditions, so we will let you know after reservations, what time your excursions starts and ends.

Date: December–February. Ask about the possibility for another time as well!

Target group: The route is quite easy and suitable for people with normal condition. The excursion takes about 8 hours and maximum few hundreds meters walk.

Meals: During the trip, we offer delicious picnic lunches and coffee, tea or hot chocolate in a beautiful winter scenery.

Group size: 3-7. If you wish, you can also book a private tour for your own group.

Transportation: The trip includes transportation by car or minibus and transportation with snow mobile and sled up to the hill.

Duration: 8 hours. The excursion starts at different times, depending on the sunrise and sunset times, so we will inform you of the departure and return time of the excursion when booking.

Price: 250 euros, including transport from Ruka or Kuusamo, transportation with snow mobile and sled up to the hill, picnic lunches and coffee, tea or hot chocolate, guide services and tips from a nature photography professional for taking better nature photos, liability insurance.

We cannot guarantee any sighting or weather conditions, but our guides will do their best to provide a pleasant nature experience
We start the excursion when there are at least three adults registered. If there are not enough registrations by 4 pm on the day before, we will cancel the tour and refund the money

Cancellation policy

We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 3 days or less before the event
We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled 7 days or less before the event
