Winter landscapes of Valtavaara –photo excursion

On the trip, we snowshoe several kilometers to the top of Valtavaara, where we have the opportunity to photograph the wonderful scenery with our own mobile phone or camera. The guide will be a nature photography professional who will tell you about the nature of the area and personally help you find compositions, angles and the right adjustments according to your wishes. After a day of hiking, you will be richer for many wonderful nature photos and a refreshing winter sports experience!

Date: November–March. Ask about the possibility for another time as well!

Duration: 8 hours. The excursion starts at different times, depending on the sunrise and sunset times, so we will inform you of the departure and return time of the excursion when booking.

Target group: Valtavaara is best suited for hikers who crave exercise and want to photograph wonderful winter landscapes without long journeys by car. We walk several kilometers in fairly demanding conditions, so the trip requires good physical condition.

Meals: During the excursion, we provide delicious packed lunch and coffee, tea, or hot chocolate.

Group size: 3-7 people, you can also book a private excursion for your own group.

Transportation: The trip includes transportation by car or minibus from Ruka or Kuusamo.

Exclusion: Camera equipment.

Clothing suitable for winter weather (remember that weather can be very cold and we are in open area up to the hill)

We start the excursion when there are at least three adults registered. If there are not enough registrations by 4 pm on the day before, we will cancel the tour and refund the money

Cancellation policy

We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 3 days or less before the event
We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled 7 days or less before the event
