“Birds of Finland” is a bird guide about the birds of Finland, part of a book series published by Bloomsbury Publishing. The book covers 300 of Finland’s most common species, including all breeding species, all migratory passage species, and some of the visitors.

The book is a collaboration between Mikko Oivukka, owner of Kuusamo Nature Photography (texts), and Markus Varesvuo (photographs), and it is written entirely in English.

The book will be published in late summer or early autumn 2026, but it can already be pre-ordered at a pre-order price of €25 plus possible shipping costs. By purchasing the book, you support the work of Finnish nature photographers.
