Erittäin nautinnollinen kokemus Kuusamo Nature Photographyn kanssa! Hide oli uskomattomalla paikalla ja erittäin mukava! Juho oli erittäin avulias ja informatiivinen alueesta. Mikko teki varauskokemuksesta sujuvan ja helpon. Suosittelemme vierailemaan Oulangan Golden Eaglesissa!

Kuusamo Nature Photographyn palvelut olivat todella poikkeuksellisia. Heidän laajan tuntemuksensa Kuusamon seudun eläimistöstä yhdistettynä erittäin hienostuneisiin havaintopihoihinsa auttoivat ottamaan upeita valokuvia teeristä, metsosta ja ruskeasta karhusta kolmessa päivässä. Odotan paluuta tulevaisuudessa.
Järjestelyt olivat hyvät. Majoitus hoiti asiansa ja ruoka oli hyvää. Teeri kojuilla pystyi hyvin kuvaamaan ja Teerit olivat paikalla molemmilla aamuilla. Kotka kojulla maakotka kävi kaksi kertaa, joten mahdollisuuksia kuvat oli paljon.
The arrangements were good. The accommodation was well taken care of and the food was good. The grouse at the stalls were good for photography and the grouse were there both mornings. The golden eagle visited the eagle stall twice, so there were plenty of opportunities for photos.

Thanks for the last course! Everything worked out great again: accommodation, food, transportation, stalls and expert guidance. There was plenty to photograph and changes to the locations were made if necessary depending on the weather. I recommend it! 😀🦅🦢🦉🐻📸
I just spent 6 consecutive nights in a Kuusamon Nature Photography hide watching a capercaillie lek in the boreal forest of northern Finland, just inside the arctic circle.
The bird was present most of the night and often came within just a couple of feet of my camera. I also had the amazing privilege of witnessing a mating.
Mikko was an excellent host and guided me in and out, making sure the hide was properly equipped and ready for action. He also takes great care to ensure the birds are undisturbed by the presence of photographers
The hides are comfortable and well positioned, with a great view and backdrop, with multiple angles for photography.
A tripod head bush is provided.. a tripod is not required. The hide is gel heated and there is plenty of space for storing kit and a sleeping bag and pillow if you want to get your head down.
Thanks to Mikko for a great experience. I recommend these hides without reservation.

Everything worked. The group's wishes were taken into account. Lots of different photo opportunities during the course. Comfortable accommodation with great food. Recommended!
In April 2025 I visited with Mikko Oivukka and Juho Salo from Kuusamo Nature Photography on 2 seperate days the Oulanka Eagle-hide and the Black grouse hides. Both were a great succes! I enjoyed both their company and expertise that resulted in beautiful photographs of mating golden eagles, fighting black grouse, beautiful bull finches and pine grosbeaks. A place and contact to return to!

Thank you for a great experience in shooting at the stall. You can't control the weather and birds, but I got the feeling that it's possible to change days and locations as the birds and weather conditions change. Now the spare day brought a successful experience of the grouse player. Mikko's expertise in the behavior of local birds was excellent. Thank you!

I spent two days in Oulanka Eagle Hides runned by Kuusamo Nature Photography at the end of January 2025, and it was undoubtedly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had as a wildlife photographer. The backdrop is amazing, and the hides are run by a group of highly competent and very friendly nature enthusiasts.
The way they prepare the scenery is second to none. The bait is strategically placed to give you excellent chances of capturing an eagle landing, close-up shots, or images of eagles perched on different spots, including treetops. The guides are meticulous in avoiding unnecessary footprints and in selecting and preparing great perches for smaller birds, which you can photograph while waiting for the eagles to arrive.
Besides eagles, I photographed gray-headed and great spotted woodpeckers, Siberian jays, Siberian, crested, willow, blue, and great tits, as well as squirrels.
The communication with the office staff was quick and smooth, and all my questions were answered promptly and precisely. And the guides … those guys are friendly, competent, highly knowledgeable, and truly dedicated to preparing the best possible scenery for you.
I highly recommend visiting Oulanka Eagle Hides to anyone passionate about wildlife photography. And if you have the chance, book at least two days—not only to increase your chances of photographing eagles but also to allow time for more creative shots.

A well-executed and full-scale full-service nature photography event. The trainers and guides were helpful and professional. The content was diverse, from landscape photography to shooting a golden eagle's stall. The accommodation was decent and the food was plentiful and tasty. I can warmly recommend!
Excellent company that really helps you to photograph Finnish wildlife. The guides are very skilled and do everything to make the best of your visit. Also, very important, they are very flexible, and space in the huts permitting, changes can easily be made.

The shooting locations and arrangements built by professionals do not disappoint. Always flexible and friendly service. The stunning scenery of Kuusamo is an added bonus. I can warmly recommend it.
It is not a very objective assessment. But I love wildlife photography, especially birds and even more so if it's with snow.
Really nice setting. Good stalls and proper guidance and, of course, the most important thing, i.e. the birds, can be photographed well. Strong recommendation
Amazing possibilities for nature and wildlife photography in the heart of Kuusamo wilderness. A must visit for any wildlife photographer!
An amazing setting in the unique nature of Kuusamo. Time doesn't last long at Oulanga's eagle stall. Along with eagles, plenty of taiga forest species to photograph. Stall windows peaks - this is something every nature photographer should experience!
The magnificent landscapes of Kuusamo and the range of bird species were abundant during the shooting day. The guides took very good care of the success of the day and the experience was unique. I recommend!
